Meet Kim, our new HR Manager at GIS. With 15 years of HR experience and a passion for bringing people together, she’s all about creating a workplace where people feel supported, connected and able to grow.

I’m Kim, born and raised in Ghent, and I recently joined GIS as HR Manager. With a background in Psychology and 15 years of experience in HR, I’m passionate about creating a workplace where people feel supported, connected, and empowered to grow. I live just a short bike ride from the office with my husband and our two energetic boys, who keep life busy and fun.

I joined GIS in May 2026 and was immediately drawn to its international environment, unique business, and welcoming culture. Everything moved quickly, from my first interview to my first day, but from the moment I arrived, I felt at home. Supporting colleagues across multiple countries makes every day different, and I enjoy helping people and teams thrive together.

Outside of work, I love spending time in my garden, especially in my vegetable patch. I’m also a creative person who enjoys crafting, decorating, and organizing celebrations for family and friends. Bringing people together gives me energy, whether at work or in my personal life.

My motto is: “Everything will be fine, and we’ll make it happen together.” I’m a natural optimist and strongly believe in the power of human connection. What inspires me most are the people around me. Everyone has unique strengths and perspectives, and I love discovering what makes people shine. That positive energy and collective potential are exactly what inspire me at GIS every day.
