Main tasks & Responsibilities

The Tactical Buyer prepares and follows up on RFQ/RFP for spot buys (within thresholds).

The Tactical Buyer supports he Category Lead Buyer in implementing the category sourcing strategy by providing support in (part of the cross functional team):

  • Seeking opportunities for synergies and improved used of GIS Supplier agreements
  • Involved in the preparation of the contract negotiations
  • Liaise with other departments and internal stakeholders
  • Issue management (e.g. complaint handling)
  • Follow-up on Master data issues /questions
  • Communication of contracts to stakeholders of their respective Programs
  • Follow-up on supplier performance and defined supplier improvement actions
  • Capture lessons learned & continuous improvement opportunities

Your Profile

  • Bachelor degree preferably in Supply Chain, Procurement and International Sourcing.
  • Min 5 years of experience in class C procurement for industrial sectors

Skills & Competences

  • Good procurement & sourcing knowledge
  • Understanding basic legal and contractual principles relevant to purchasing.
  • Understanding TCO principles when comparing supplier offers.
  • Can-do-attitude and willingness to learn to fill the gaps
  • Stress-resistant
  • Microsoft Office knowledge(Excel, Outlook,…)
  • Advanced computer skills : ERP system (SAP, Dynamics) (is a plus)
